Latin-Funk-Fusion powerhouse TapRoots, led by composer, producer and multi- instrumentalist Matthew King, have been busy recording a new album, The Resonance Within, now available on all music platforms! Started during the pandemic lockdown, this album is the culmination of two years of intensive writing, bringing together his artistic community for some soul-stirring recording sessions, and meticulous production. A multi-layered listening experience, TapRoots is a sonic tapestry of rhythmic rapture, societal upliftment, deep ecological connection, and spiritual elation.

Building on their debut album of 2018, TapRoots is charting new musical territory with its unique mix of funk, soul, salsa, afrobeat, reggae, afrocuban jazz, samba and folkloric rhythms into a cohesive and compelling whole. Born out of the desire to explore and blend a variety of interlocking musical influences, TapRoots is a new vision of cultural sonic fusion that touches the live wire of the spirit, body and mind. In the words of King, “This is not “Epcot Center'' style cultural fusion; this is a raw, energetic, untamed and complex look at how these musical traditions — and all of us – are related.”
